What an amazing day! Nikki and I ventured up to Orange County and did the 5k Color Run. Such an awesome run. When the race started we were in all white, from head to toe. As the race went on, we were pegged with color. Every kilometer mark was a different color mark, and they dumped the colored powder all over us. The first color was yellow, and Nikki got nailed in the face! Teeth and all. Then came green, then blue/purple, and the 4k mark was pink. This is when we both got blasted. We had pink all over us, and it stains. Oops!
With the last kilometer left, we ran hard to the end, where color was thrown all over us. But, nothing felt better than successfully finishing a 5k run, and having a blast while doing it! We ran to the “After Color Party” where color was thrown all over the place. So much color and so much fun.
After the run, we decided to go to Newport Beach to relax for a couple of hours. Nikki and I drove around and found a small entrance to a large beach and it wasn’t crowded at all! We ran into the water to take an ice bath so both of us wouldn’t be sore. Nikki had that idea, and it was a brilliant one! We laid on the beach for a couple hours and then went to my cousin’s house to get ready for our next adventure of the day…
We scored free tickets to the Clippers game! They were VIP Premium Level seats. It was amazing! So much fun, and a great game! The Clippers won 107-98. It was great fun, and a great way to end a perfect weekend with Nikki.
So, bottom line… My weekend was perfectly amazing and I would not have changed it for the world! Nikki is such a great friend and I had an awesome time.
